Special Devices Inc., a system integration company with offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles has acquired LabVIEWexpert.com, the leading LabVIEW services company in San Diego. "This deal makes Special Devices the largest west coast NI alliance member," says Buck Smith. "The San Diego office will allow us to better service many of our defense and vibration monitoring clients."

The acquisition gives Special Devices deeper expertise in telecom /cell phone test and enables Special Devices to expand into the manufacturing markets of Asia and Mexico. Patrick Kelly, founder of LabVIEWexpert, joins Special Devices as Vice-President of Sales and Marketing. Kelly states: "This acquisition gives Special Devices a complete, world-class management team. Based on my years working for NI, I have never seen such a talented team in a single alliance company. I am very excited to be a part of it."
