As Special Devices has expanded into seven cities across three continents, it has become imperative to deploy a global infrastructure of tools for all of the offices. Past deployments have included standard source code control tools for all offices, product lifecycle management (PLM) tools for managing personalized ATE products, and web-based document tracking tools so that all of our offices can follow common standards for document control (critical for our FDA-regulated medical device clients and our regulated Aerospace clients).
In September, we have successfully upgraded and deployed a web-based CRM (customer relationship management) system to handle all aspects of our global customer service. "This was a critical investment for Special Devices's future," said Buck Smith, President. "We know that our clients want consistency across all of our offices, and the new CRM helps address it in the area of client tracking and support."
